Three new funding opportunities from ECC

21/10/2014

See message below from Essex County Council :-

This email is to make you aware of three funding opportunities launching shortly; Independence, Choice and Control Fund, Supporting Carers in Essex Fund and the Young Carers Support procurement. I would be grateful if you could forward this information to the broadest group as possible that would be interested in submitting applications to one or more of these opportunities.

Independence, Choice and Control Fund:

Essex County Council is looking to secure services for vulnerable people in Essex from April 2015 that promote independence, choice and control through early intervention and prevention.

In some areas we will be holding the opportunity jointly with the CCG and, as such, we will communicate with you nearer the time to confirm if you will need to use a system other than Ariba to submit applications.

We anticipate this opportunity will launch on the 6th November 2014.

Supporting Carers in Essex Fund:

Essex County Council and each of the five Clinical Commissioning Groups are looking to secure services for carers between 2015 and 2017. This opportunity marks the beginning of a phased programme of work that will deliver a new model of support for carers by 2017.

During the Supporting Carers in Essex funding application period there will be two question and answer sessions to support you.

We anticipate this opportunity will launch before the end of October 2014.

Young Carers Support procurement:

This open tender will give opportunities to provide outcomes focused solutions to support young carers.

Essex County Council require providers to develop and facilitate support that includes sessions that offer personal development opportunities together with emotional, social and peer support for young people who provide substantial and regular care to a “relevant person”.  This will enable them to fully benefit from the break, as well as receiving support from peers and Project Workers to create positive futures around education, employment, health and wellbeing.

We anticipate this opportunity will launch on or before the 10th October 2014.
